The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has relieved the technical team of the Crested Cranes of their duties.
This decision was arrived at during the 27th FUFA Executive Committee meeting that sat last week on Wednesday.
“The FUFA Executive Committee declared that the positions of the technical team of Crested Cranes have fallen vacant following the completion of their assignment for which they were appointed that ended with the WAFCON Finals in Morocco. FUFA will declare as and when the application process for the vacant positions starts,” the statement reads.
The technical team comprises of the likes of
George Lutalo as Head Coach, Edward Kaziba as Assistant Coach plus James Magala as the goalkeeping coach.
The others are Arthur Kyesimira (Fitness trainer), Prossy Nalwadda (Kits Manager) and Paul Ssali (Team Manager).
Lutalo who replaced Faridah Bulega over a year ago managed 13 games.
He won 7, drew twice and lost the other 4 games.
Lutalo also helped the Crested Cranes in winning the CECAFA Women’s Championship for the first time ever in a tournament that was held in Jinja.
He also guided the Crested Cranes to the Women’s AFCON the AFCON for the first time since 2000.
